My nephew at age 17 committed suicide three weeks ago and I would very much to help my sister and brother in law through this most difficult time.

Having lost a child to suicide I know the special feeling of talking to someone with a similar loss. I know that gut feeling. I also know that no matter how similar our therapist's loss might be to our own, no two losses are the same. You will find differences between their experience and yours. The good news is that the capacity for empathy is universal. We all know the pain of loss. Don't underestimate the ability of someone in different circumstances to empathize with your loss. Grief unites us all.
