The choice HE made was in response to a pain that you and I have never felt. In fact, it may not have even been a choice given the deranged thinking of suicides. I have read the last written words of notes and many are obviously deranged and those that aren't most likely were planned well in advanced "just in case" the pain preceding the act came back. For many victims are aware that they lose normal thinking capacities during deepest depressions. I'm sorry for your loss and for the level of ignorance spoken around you. May peace be with you always.

Thank you for the resources. Feeling so alone at times...even in a crowded room of family and friends. My spouse committed suicide almost 4 years ago. Because we were separated...I am to blame. I am a visual reminder of a tragedy...no one knows how to talk to me, understand me. Not only lost him, his family, our friends...mistreated in public, lost our home, my job, then his surgeon took his life 6 months later..that is alot in a short time...I am still standing...I didn't "check out" on my family...I am choosing life and still here...yet,... I am being punished for the choice HE made. Everyone has forgotten the choice of his affairs that was straining our marriage at the time...all the sudden they are singing his praises, tattoing "in loving memory of" on themselves...all the while I am hurting. It just feels overwhelming some days. I am strong, have moved on...but, inside...I am suffering. Suicide ends the problems of one in an instant, inflicts pain on the closest one left behind for an eternity.
